Businesses move, share Stover Landing Commons building
An art reception and gallery event to celebrate the recent move by some new businesses into the Stover Landing Commons building was held May 19.
Owners Christi and Heath Chase of Cravings Restaurant, Dawn Gray and Susan Bryner of B & B Booksellers, certified creativity coach Marj Penley of Kreative Coaching and Family Therapist Sally Pearson are now all situated within one building located at 278 Main St., across the street from Holiday Market.
The grand opening included the musical trio Los Sierra Ramblers who played inside Cravings during the open house, with hors d’oeuvres and wine served to guests.
Gray said that Cravings and B & B Booksellers are co-mingled, with a flight of stairs connecting the two businesses.
Christi Chase and Gray both were on hand to comment on how much they appreciated people coming in to experience the businesses’ offerings and the new location.
Fun to see our old house again. I have no idea why it is called Stover Landing, must have been named thus after we sold it.
We bought the house in 1956~ from a lovely Chinese American couple,
who had painted the interior in traditional ways, door panels were painted gold and the trim black lacquer. The large stone fireplace was “washed” with light gold paint.
Beavers build dams in the back, flooding the back, we had to break them up, next day back came the beavers, new dam.
Looks like a very nice place. We hope you will be very happy in your new place. Congratulations on the merge. We hope it works out well for both parties.
Love Dad & Sandy
