Butte County releases evacuation map

Evacuation notices began going out to Butte County residents yesterday afternoon, through the night and today. With resources stretched thin, the priority was to evacuate people safely. It has been confirmed by Butte County paramedics that at least five individuals have suffered second and third degree burns. It is anticipated that more victims in need of assistance will be found as the fire descended quickly on the town.

With so many people being evacuated, it’s been difficult finding places to shelter.

Evacuation advisories also went up for portions of Paradise, as well as Concow.

This is the evacuation map released by the Butte County Sheriff. Note the proximity to Bucks Lake. Also note the location of Berry Creek (near the center) where it has been confirmed at least five individuals has suffered burns from the Bear Fire.
