The Calpine Elks Lodge recently donated $3,500 to the Plumas Crisis Intervention Center (PCIRC) in Quincy. The organization suffered a devastating loss when its facility was destroyed by fire this past summer. Representatives of the Calpine Elks presented the check to Senior Family Advocate Cathy Rahmeyer and Board Chairman Kathleen Gay.
For now, the crisis center is operating out of the Ohana House on Main Street in Quincy, but the organization has already begun the process to rebuild at its former location.
