Caltrans releases latest road closure information related to fires

These are the current highway closures in District 2 due to wildfire incidents (as of 10 a.m. on Aug. 4). Please note that the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for areas of Northern California from 1 p.m. today through 8 p.m. on Thursday. Areas of highway closure are subject to change at any time. The following includes closures related to the Dixie Fire as well as other closures that might affect Plumas County residents attempting to travel to other areas. Dixie Fire closures are in bold.
STATE ROUTE 299: State Route 299 is currently closed from approximately 3 miles east of Burnt Ranch to approximately 3 miles east of Big Bar (Trinity County) due to #MonumentFire. There is currently no estimated time for when the roadway will be reopened.
STATE ROUTE 36: State Route 36 is currently closed from White Rock Road (Shasta County) to the junction with State Route 3 (Trinity County) due to the #McFarlandFire. There is currently no estimated time for when the roadway will be reopened.
STATE ROUTE 36: State Route 36 is closed from Childs Meadow, approximately 1 mile east of the junction with State Route 172 (Tehama County) to the junction with County Road A-13, approximately 4 miles east of Chester (Plumas County) due to the #DixieFire.
STATE ROUTE 70: State Route 70 is currently closed from just east of Jarbo Gap (Deadwood Road) to the junction with State Route 89 (Greenville Wye) due to the #DixieFire.
STATE ROUTE 32: State Route 32 is currently closed from Butte Meadows to the junction with State Route 36 due to the #DixieFire.
STATE ROUTE 89: State Route 89 is currently closed from the junction with State Route 70 to the junction with State Route 36 due to the #DixieFire.
STATE ROUTE 147: State Route 147 is currently closed from the junction with County Road A-13 to the junction with State Route 89 at Canyon Dam due to the #DixieFire.
