Celebrate the life of Margo Stratton
The Celebration of Life for Margo Patricia Stratton will be held Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Meadow Valley School. She passed away peacefully 3/17/2021 at her home in Quincy, California.
She was born to Lowell and Jeanette Bader on 1/18/1934 in San Francisco, California.
She is survived by her sister Donna McElroy of Meadow Valley, California, son Shaun Stratton of Chico, California, and daughter Tari Truman of Grass Valley, California. She was preceded in passing by both of her parents, her brother Mervin Bader of Sparks, Nevada, sisters Betty of San Mateo, California, Peggy Hisher of Clear Lake, California, and Sandy Taborski of Reno, Nevada, children David Stratton of Chico, California, Roger Stratton of Chico, California and Kevin Stratton of Gooding, Idaho.
We apologize for the delay of this announcement, but due to the Dixie Fire and the Covid situation in the county we felt it was prudent to wait until things settled down a bit. Come and share in the memories and stories that you may have about her and her driving force in the county. She made so many wonderful friends over her 86 years. She was always quick with a joke and we all know that she would speak her mind, sometimes when you didn’t even ask, lol. She knew a lot of very good cooks and always loved a good potluck. That’s why we ask that anyone who can, to bring your favorite dish to share with her friends. We will supply hotdogs/hot links, buns w/condiments, potato salad, baked beans, sodas, ice cold water and coffee.
As she was a fierce defender of the elderly and animals all her life, anyone who would like to honor her for this, we ask that you send a donation, in her name, to your local Senior Nutrition Center, the ASPCA or the Plumas County Animal Shelter in Quincy.
We are looking forward to seeing you at her celebration.
