Save the date! The Lost Sierra Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Nakoma Resort to host a “Work It Wednesday” coffee hour on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. Chamber members can join us for coffee and/or a light breakfast before you unlock your doors for the day. This is a great time to share ideas for improving and growing businesses in our rural mountain community. Please R.S.V.P. to [email protected] and let us know you are coming.
We know you have busy schedules, so coffee hours are not the only opportunities our members have to network. Sierra Mountain Properties will be keeping the ball rolling on March 12, at 5 p.m. with our first mixer of the year. LSCC has rebranded these powerful business-to-business events to make them more inviting and fun for our members and friends. We are calling them “Commerce and Cocktails.” Come unwind, mingle, connect, laugh and learn from one another.
Our second mixer will be at Lena’s Cantina, Tuesday, April 14, at 5 p.m. Lena is hosting our annual Member’s Business Meeting. Come learn what your chamber has in store for you during the upcoming year. And, as always, unwind and get social. We will provide plenty of nibbles and a no-host bar.
If you are not yet a member of LSCC, consider joining. The more you participate in networking events and gain exposure in your community, the more opportunities your business will have to grow strong and gain revenue. Give us a call at (530) 836-6811. Better yet, stop by for a visit at the corner of Highways 89 and 70, Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
We are sure you will want to join when you see the power of membership. By just being a part of your local chamber you will have access to invaluable marketing tips and materials, and advice on day-to-day operations.Talk to current members to see what they think about their membership, the benefits they receive, and the work they do for the community. From seminars that teach more about running and managing a business to these networking events with other businesses you will gain expert knowledge and meaningful relationships to help your business succeed.
You aren’t limited to attending events hosted by your Chamber and other businesses either. You can put on your own networking event or seminar and invite chamber and community members alike to attend. This helps you provide more value to the community and gives you some great exposure.
Your Chamber wants to be a driving force in your community. We want to encourage businesses working together toward a common goal of improving economic stability within our community. We want to help increase local job opportunities; encourage thoughtful expansion of our community in an efficient and organized manner; help our local businesses grow and thrive; and promote a free market economy by assisting our local businesses and organizations.
Be sure to join us at Nakoma Resort for the March 4 “Work it Wednesday” coffee hour and in Clio on March 12 at Sierra Mountain Properties, 2500 Highway 89, for the “Commerce and Cocktails” event, and bring a friend or two. Look for evites soon!
