CHP report for the week of 3/18/20

The following incidents are submitted by the Quincy Area California Highway Patrol as a tentative summary pending the conclusion of the investigation(s).

Hit and run, March 14

At about 10:30 p.m., Brent Washoe, 21, of Greenville, was driving his 1993 Jeep Wrangler northbound on North Valley Road, 2.5 miles north of Stampfli Lane. His rate of speed was undetermined.

Washoe made an unsafe turning movement to the west and allowed the Jeep to travel off the roadway and collide with a wooden fence. The vehicle continued north, damaging more of the wood fence and a barbed wire fence as well. The Jeep rolled over and came to rest on its left side facing southeast.

The driver then fled the scene of the collision without making proper notification to the owner of the wooden fence or the owner of the barbed wire fence.
