Christmas baskets and angel trees in Indian Valley
By Meg Upton
Indian Valley families feeling the pinch of food scarcity might want to sign up for a Christmas basket this week. The Greenville Wellness Center and the Indian Valley Food Pantry have teamed up to provide Christmas Baskets for families in need in Indian Valley.
Families in need are asked to call the Wellness Center at (530) 283-6307 x 1003 and be ready to give a name, address, phone number, and the number of people in the family. The Center is taking names until Thursday, Dec. 17. Baskets will be distributed on Saturday, Dec. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The Greenville Wellness Center is located at 414 Main St. in Greenville. The Center is COVID compliant and expects social distancing and mask wearing during all interactions with the public.
If you’re looking to give, the Wellness Center and Indian Valley Food Pantry both take donations and calling the above number can provide information for the reader to drop off donations.
An Angel Tree run by PCIRC is up at the Greenville branch of Plumas Bank and still has some angels on the tree that need locals to provide gifts for children in Indian Valley for Christmas.
