Christmas in Old Town Portola comes Friday, December 2

The Lost Sierra Chamber of Commerce and the City of Portola are pleased to bring back the beloved annual Christmas in Old Town event. One and all are warmly invited to join in on the holiday festivities in the City of Portola on Friday, December 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Caboose parking lot in downtown Portola on Commercial Street.

The festivities will include the popular Golden Ticket give-away for kids ages three to 16, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Old Town Marketplace, a crackling bonfire, caroling, the city Christmas tree lighting, a light parade, food, drinks, and much more for the whole family!

The Christmas parade will commence at 6 p.m. on Commercial Street.

For the Golden Ticket giveaway, each child is given a goody bag from Santa that contains items and a “Golden Ticket”. With the help of their parents, they put their name and phone number on the ticket and become eligible to be chosen in the drawing. Must be present to win.

Lost Sierra Chamber of Commerce thanks the generous community that makes it possible to be able to select a new item such as a toy, backpack, bikes, trike, skateboard, puzzle, or games. All items are brand new and valued at over $25.00. “We don’t “sell” raffle tickets, the tickets are 100 percent free,” organizers said. Organizers also thank their title sponsor, Portola Village Pharmacy.
