Community Supper hosted by Friends of the Chester Library

The Friends of the Chester Library hosted the Lake Almanor Community Supper last week on Thursday, March 2, under the expert guidance of chef Carol Franchetti of Carol’s Café in Prattville. Squeezed between two storms and navigating on slushy, snowy roads, Carol’s team of workers and volunteers cooked up hearty beef stew and mouth-watering pies a la mode.

Volunteers from the Friends of the Chester Library set up and decorated the tables, with the loan of vases from the Sierra Hospice Thrift Store.  The Friends helped serve, greet the diners, and do any chores required to have another successful Chester Community Supper. Thanks to the Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce for supporting these Suppers.
