Dancin’ in the Dirt this Tuesday at Rugged Roots Farm
Join the Lost Sierra Food Project at Rugged Roots Farm on Tuesday, June 13 from 5-7 p.m. for Dancin’ in the Dirt! This fun event is perfect for the whole family to enjoy and kicks off the weekly Tuesday farm stand at Rugged Roots Farm, located on Hwy 70 across from Gansner Airfield. The farm stand is where members of the community can gather at the farm and purchase delicious produce grown right in Quincy; they also accept EBT and CalFresh.
The event will have live music from local band NightBrain, children’s activities, and beer from Quintopia and food from the Feather River Food Co-op for sale. Dancin’ in the Dirt is a Lost Sierra Food Project fundraiser for local food access. LSFP is committed to providing nutrient rich, local produce for all and offers subsidized produce to underserved populations, along with free healthy cooking classes and nutritional education. The LSFP also donates free produce to food banks and crisis centers in our county.
If you can’t make it on the 13th, the farm stand is every Tuesday evening from 5-7 and the honor system fridge is stocked 7 days a week.dancin in the dirt 2023 (1) copy
