Dec. 14: Plumas announces 13 new cases

The Plumas County Public Health Agency announced this evening, Dec. 14, that there are 13 additional coronavirus cases. Today’s case count follows 19 last Friday and 12 over the weekend. Following is a breakdown:

Two residents from the Western Region (Chester/Lake Almanor)

Two residents from the Eastern Region (Graeagle/Portola)

Two residents from the Northern Region (Greenville/Indian Valley)

Seven residents from the Southern Region (Quincy/American Valley)

If an exposed resident is identified during the investigation, the resident will be contacted by a member of the Public Health COVID-19 Response Team for further screening.

The current total is 360 positive tests results; with 81 active cases. As of Friday, there have been 13 total hospitalizations related to COVID with three individuals in the hospital currently, and one death reported today of a female in her late 70s with underlying medical conditions.
