The event is being held to support the needs of victims of the Dixie Fire, with a fundraising goal of $40,000.
Doors open at 11 a.m. and festivities go until 5 p.m. Rib tasting is from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and a prize drawing will be announced around 4 p.m. with many great prizes available!
“We will hold 50 tickets at $30 apiece for purchase at Plumas Pines on the day of the event on a first come, first serve basis. When we sell out of the rib event tickets, you can still join us for drinks, music, raffles and fun for $10 per person,” said organizer Todd Geer. Plumas Pines will also have small appetizers available.
A few of the donated items up for bidding include multiple guided fishing trips, an Orvis fly rod, a Traegar Pro 780 grill, Webber Genesis propane BBQ, gear from Mojo, Banded and Dickies, artwork and home décor, and much more. Attendees that will participate in the prize drawing are encouraged to bring cash.
Vendors at the event will include the Farmers Brewing Tap trailer, Long Drink, and Rouland Insurance to host a donation booth for items such as sleeping bags, toiletries, toys, and others. There will be Kona ice snow cones and kids’ games for the kids on the lawn, and Kyle Williams will be playing music from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The B Side will be playing after 1:30 p.m.
“We have four employees of Plumas Pines Resort that lost homes in Greenville, and a part of the proceeds will go directly to them,” organizers said. “We are also teaming up with the Almanor Foundation to help distribute and decide where raised money will get the most benefit. We can’t thank our friends and local businesses enough for their support for this event. It is because of you that this is sure to be successful event.”
