Donated items still available for Dixie Fire evacuees; clothing for everyone
Plumas County officials want to remind the community that the County set up a distribution center for Dixie Fire evacuees at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the corner of Bucks Lake Road and Bellamy Lane, adjacent to the hospital.
This location will be open through Saturday, Sept. 4, from 2 to 6 p.m. daily. After Saturday, the county distribution center will move to a new location, to be announced.
Clothing, housewares, linens and blankets, school supplies, personal care products, as well as a variety of other items, are available to evacuees.
On Thursday and Friday of this week clothing at the center will be made available free to any member of the public. All other goods at the site are reserved for Dixie Fire evacuees only.
No further donated items are currently needed, but anyone wishing to help can make a monetary donation to the Plumas Crisis Intervention Center, Plumas Rural Services, or to other organizations that have set up accounts for this purpose.
