Downtown Sparkle entertainment lineup
We would like to welcome our newest Chamber members: Business Members Central Plumas Recreation & Park District and Sierra Charters. You too can join the Chamber and help support your community — all for less than $5 per month for an individual membership or $150 – $250 per year for a business membership.
The Quincy Chamber of Commerce is co-sponsoring a Small Business Workshop taking place on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Feather River College. The panel and workshop will focus on business resources available to you, exploring finance options (both traditional and alternative), and government contracts. This workshop is brought to you by Sierra Small Business Development Center, the Small Business Administration, California Capital, Alliance for Workforce Development, Inc. and U.S. Bank. Advance registration is required so call the Sierra SBDC at (530) 582-5022 to RSVP.
Safe Trick-or-Treat is coming up on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in downtown Quincy. Join the fun in all your costumed glory … or if you would prefer, we need adult volunteers to help with crosswalk safety. The work is easy and rewarding — just 2.5 hours of one day to ensure our kids enjoy this event safely. If you’re interested, please give us a call so we can add your name to the list.
Sparkle is coming fast on Friday, Dec. 6. We are working on the entertainment lineup now so if you would be interested in performing, give us a call at 394-0541 to sign up. If you plan on selling anything at Sparkle, you also need to give us a call. We’ll need to know what you plan on selling and where you will be set up. If you’ll be selling food or beverages you’ll also need to contact Environmental Health at 283-6355 for any necessary permits. The crowd-favorite Light Parade and Reindog Parade will also be taking place that evening. Parade entry forms and vendor applications are available on our website at quincychamber.com/sparkle .
