Eagle vs. Eagle as FRC battles Oakland’s Laney College

Feather River College Golden Eagles football team met the Laney Junior College Eagles for the first time in the two teams’ histories. The game ended with a score of 47-13 in favor of the Oakland team.

The FRC football team has an overall record of 1-2 with no conference games yet played. Warming up, the Eagles won Sept. 9 at an away game against College of the Sequoias 37-10 and lost their first challenge against De Anza 29-27 on Sept. 2.

Next up for the Feather River College Golden Eagles will be a match up against the Diablo Valley Vikings this Friday, Sept. 22, in Pleasant Hill. The Vikings lost to the Sequoias Sept. 16 by a score of 40-35 and also are currently 1-2 overall.
