The weather in Quincy has been nice enough to host beach volleyball games, but the season began Feb. 19 for the Feather River College Eagles and they have been following the schedule all over Northern California.
The Eagles are 5-1 overall in pre-conference challenges. FRC women have won their last four games. They beat Foothill Feb. 28 by a score of 4-1 and West Valley the same day, 3-2. The Eagles moved on to beat Cabrillo 4-1 on March 6 and came out on top of San Mateo 5-0 in their second game of the day.
The Eagles have an exhibition match at St. Mary’s College on March 19 and on Friday, March 20, they take on Marin and San Joaquin Delta teams in Stockton at Delta College.
Friday, April 3, the Eagles meet College of the Redwoods and Sierra at Sierra College. Saturday, April 4, will be a pair of exhibition matches with San Jose State and at University of the Pacific in the Bay Area.
Finally, the Eagles will come home for a pair of home games Friday, April 10, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Redwood Corsairs and the Marin Mariners will face the Eagles on the FRC court. The last regular home game of the season follows with College of Southern Idaho on Monday, April 13, at 10 a.m.
One more match takes place with Sierra Thursday, April 23, in Marin and then it will be on to the Big 8 Championships and the 2020 CCCAA Team Regional competitions for our competitive local college’s beach volleyball team.
