Eagles volleyball takes conference undefeated

The Eagles win the Golden Valley Conference first-place title for the 10th season in a row!

Feather River College head volleyball coach Sarah Ritchie has been building great teams for years. The combination of excellent players and coaching have created many winning teams for the Eagles, but the 2019 team may be the best yet.

The women on the Eagle court have created incredible stats this year. They continue to “wow” fans lucky enough to witness the volleyball competition first hand.

The Eagle women did not give up a single game in the last nine matches, they beat all their opponents 3-0. That is actually how they finished conference, completely undefeated, not giving up a single conference game of their 10 league matches.

FRC’s womens volleyball is ranked number two of the top 25 community college teams in the state as of Nov. 12. The Southern California team of Irvine Valley is 20-0 and ranked number one, FRC is 30-2, and Fresno City is ranked number three at 26-2, followed by American River and Folsom Lake.

Seeding for the playoff matches will be taking place soon. Look for the Eagles to compete the end of this month. You will find details here in the Feather Publishing Sports Section.
