Educational organization awards scholarships

P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) Chapter KH, Quincy awarded two scholarships at the Quincy High School Senior Awards Night in June. The Chapter KH local scholarships of $500 were presented to seniors Makenna Crosby and Kayla Thackeray by Susie Steuben.

Mckenna plans to continue her education at Texas A & M University and Kayla at Arizona State.

P.E.O. Chapter KH, Quincy is extremely proud to recognize the dedication and ability of both these extraordinary young women. The primary purpose of the P.E.O. Sisterhood is to raise funds that assist women at all levels of education to follow their dreams.  Over $304 million in financial assistance has been given to over102,000 recipients since the P.E.O. Sisterhood was established in 1869. Since receiving its charter in 2013 Chapter KH, Quincy has distributed over $8000.00 in local scholarships.
