EPCAN Food Bank streamlines registration process

As previously announced, the Eastern Plumas Community Assistance Network (EPCAN) will now directly handle client registrations at the Food Bank at 120 Nevada St. in Portola. The Portola Family Resource Center (PFRC) will no longer provide this service on behalf of EPCAN. A one-time pre-registration card is all that is necessary – the “Blue Slip” has been eliminated.
Streamlined and straightforward, registration and monthly emergency food pickup is as easy as one, two, three – at one facility. Just head to the EPCAN Food Bank during our regular open hours, as follows:
Mondays or Wednesdays from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.; or Thursdays noon – 2 p.m.
No pre-registration is necessary for perishables (first and third Fridays noon – 1 p.m.) or commodities (second Thursday noon – 2 p.m) – just stop by.
