Plumas Audubon Society Field Trip: Sierra Valley Preserve, East Entrance, Maddalena
May 21, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Sierra Valley is a sight to behold this time of year. Plumas Audubon Society is excited to be teaming up with Feather River Land Trust to bring you this bird walk, hosted by retired PAS Board Member, Jill Slocum. The walk will go from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
What to bring: The tour will include a light amount of walking (potentially on uneven terrain) so please wear sturdy shoes and gear for being outdoors. Weather can change fast in Sierra Valley! Be sure to bring sun and wind protection, layered clothing, water, and any snacks you may need. If you have binoculars and relevant bird guides, please bring them. We’ll have a few extras for those who don’t.
Parking & Directions: Participants should park and meet at the East Entrance of the Sierra Valley Preserve (Maddalena corrals) located near Beckwourth, CA on County Road A-24 approximately 1.75 miles south of the Highway 70 junction.
