Fire restrictions lifted on the Plumas

Fire restrictions have been lifted for Plumas National Forest federally managed lands. Restrictions on private land are managed by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (http://calfire.ca.gov).

Forest visitors may enjoy campfires both inside and outside of designated campgrounds and recreation sites, although California campfire permits are still required. The free permits may be obtained online at Campfire Permit – Ready for Wildfire. Visitors are reminded to keep campfires small and to ensure the fire is dead out and cold to the touch before leaving camp.
