First baby of 2017
Kyra Baylan West is the first baby to be born at Plumas District Hospital in 2017. She arrived at 2:52 a.m. on Jan. 4, weighing in at 7 lbs. 8 oz. Her mother Megan Leonhardt is holding her, while husband Matt West holds their older daughter, 3-year-old Ember. Dr. Joey Schad delivered the newest Quincy resident, and hospital employees presented a gift basket to the first baby and flowers for mom.
