Flash flood warning issued for the west side of the Dixie Fire burn scar
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the Dixie West burn scar in northwestern Plumas County and southwestern Lassen County this evening, June 25. This warning is in effect until 9 p.m.
Just after 5 p.m. Doppler radar picked up strong thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the fire scar north of Greenville. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen in past hour. Another inch is possible. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar could result in debris flow along Highway 89 in Greenville and Crescent Mills.
