Flooding in Indian Valley; warnings in Sierra Valley

Indian Valley residents are contending with flooding in Indian Valley where motorists must contend with water on roads and a local golf course looks more like a lake.

Meanwhile, across the county, the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office is warning of potential flooding in the Sierra Valley.

Very high flows along Little Last Chance Creek are expected due to an upstream dam release at Frenchman Dam and increased snowmelt. The warning remains in effect until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. If motorists encounter water in the area, they should turn around.
