The Plumas National Forest announced this morning that it will be conducting pile burning in the McDermott Ravine area, northwest of Cromberg. The operation is expected to take several days and smoke will be visible from Highway 70 in the Lee Summit area. The communities of Greenhorn, Sloat and Cromberg also will be impacted by the smoke.
