FRC is holding auditions for upcoming musical
Feather River College is holding auditions for its upcoming production of the musical play “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.”
Written by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts, the play is a witty musical revue that celebrates the mating game.From the perils and pitfalls of the first date to marriage, children and the twilight years of life, this insightful and hilarious musical takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as “the relationship.”
The play’s tagline is “Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit.”The agonies and triumphs of the characters on their journey will have audience members shouting, “This is my life!”
Auditions will be held at the West End Theatre, on the corner of Crescent and Main Streets in Quincy on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. (Auditions were also held Jan. 14). Call backs are scheduled Tuesday, Jan. 21, 6 to 8 p.m.
There are plenty of roles for both women and men. Be prepared to do scene readings, sing a song, as well as dance. A pianist will be present as well as music from the show.
