FRC offers employee incentive to vaccinate; will hire COVID coordinator

Feather River College held a special trustees meeting Oct. 6 to discuss vaccination protocols and requirements, as well as to hire more tracking personnel. Following are the steps that were approved:

  1. Encouraging employees to be vaccinated with incentive $150/month through June
  2. Unvaccinated employees or anyone declining to state will need to provide weekly covid testing
  3. District will provide opportunities for testing at district expense
  4. Discussion about starting with employees for continuity of educational services and campus operations
  5. Any unvaccinated employee who has had covid in the last 90 days is not required to provide weekly test results
  6. Hiring a covid coordinator position to coordinate, track and communicate
  7. Developing student procedure for weekly testing for unvaccinated/decline to state students starting spring semester
