The Diversity Committee at Feather River College is collaborating with Quincy VFW Post 3825 and Plumas County Veterans Services to host a flag raising ceremony at FRC in honor of Veterans Day. Due to the campus closure on Thursday, Nov. 11, to observe the holiday, the celebration will be on Wednesday, Nov. 10.
Forty-four invitations were sent to student and staff veterans, as well as student dependents. In addition to a flag raising ceremony conducted by the Post, lunch and cake will be provided for those in attendance. The event will be both traditional and educational.
FRC will be opening a Veterans Resource Center on campus in the coming months. The center will provide services and resources to Veteran students and dependents, as well as collaborate with community partners, such as Post 3825 and County Services.
Any local Veterans are welcome to attend. Thank you for your service!
