FRC welcomes a new school year with community events
Feather River College is hosting a slew of activities to mark the beginning of the new school year.
The weekend celebration commences Friday, Sept. 27, at Moon’s Restaurant, 497 Lawrence St., in Quincy. The Meet & Greet Happy Hour begins at 4 p.m. and goes to 6 p.m. Meet FRC’s new faculty and connect with alumni. Anniversary glasses commemorating FRC’s 50th anniversary will be available for three for $5, with the first glass filled free.
FRC’s soccer teams will take the field Friday, with the men’s soccer team playing at 2 p.m. and the women’s team playing at 4 p.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 28, softball scrimmages will take place at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The alumni baseball game takes place at 3 p.m. and FRC football takes the field at 5 p.m.
