Frederick Dale Hock
February 14, 1944—September 4, 2021

During the Dixie Fire evacuation, Fred went home to be with the Lord after succumbing to complications of Parkinson’s Disease.

Fred was born in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, to Mary Elizabeth Harn (Riverside, Ca. and Dale Leonard Hock (Ontario, CA)
He attended grade school and McLane HS (Class of 1962) in Fresno, CA.  Fred went on to earn an Engineering Degree from UC San Luis Obispo.  He began his career with the US Coast Guard (civilian) at the Long Beach Shipyard.

He continued his career with various Engineering firms including RD Lichti and Associates in Signal Hill (Long Beach) Ca. – it was this association that led him to relocate with his wife Suki (Kathleen Brose) to the Lake Almanor area 29 years ago.  He later began his own successful Engineering business in Chester.

He was loved by extended family, friends and the community.

He loved serving as the Secretary of the Rotary Club of Chester for many years, and never turned down a opportunity to participate in a community service project.  He was also a Life Member of the Masons in the California Long Beach Lodge No. 327.  While he enjoyed golf; he was an avid Nascar fan.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Calvary Chapel of Westwood.  Located at 315 Ash St., Westwood, Saturday, September 25, at 1:pm.  In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would appreciate considering donating to the Rotary Club of Chester, to be used for local youth scholarships and other youth projects.  Donations can be mailed to PO Box 1782, Chester, CA 96020
