Friends of the Library hold silent auction beginning today
Submitted by Friends of the Library
Need a little distraction from the winter blues? Well, here it is.
The Quincy Friends of the Plumas County Library are holding a silent auction at Plumas Bank in downtown Quincy. The auction is taking place Monday, Feb. 6 through Friday Feb. 17, during the bank’s regular hours.
The silent auction features books that are of special interest or are more valuable than our average book sale offerings. And if you’re a photographer or just someone who loves magnificent photos, this sale is definitely for you. We’ve got books featuring collections of photos by Annie Leibovitz, Philip Hyde, Ansel Adams, and Matthew Brady. Other books focus on the wonders of San Francisco and the western landscape.
You’ll have the opportunity to browse through these books at your leisure. And you can bid on as many of them as you like, as often as you like. Detailed instructions are available alongside the bid items.
The Friends are also planning a giant book sale for March 2-4. This sale will take place as usual in the community room of the Plumas County Library in Quincy. Watch this space for more info! Or check the Friends’ Facebook page as those dates draw closer: www.facebook.com/quincyfriendslibrary
In the meantime, come spend a few pleasant minutes at the Friends of the Library Silent Auction at Plumas Bank. By placing a bid, you’ll be supporting your library, and you may just end up with a beautiful new book to while away these long winter nights.
The Friends extend their thanks to Plumas Bank for providing them with this opportunity.
