Friends of the Library sponsor poetry workshop

The Quincy Friends of the Library announced that they will be sponsoring a poetry workshop Saturday, April 29,  titled “Freeing Your Life with Words.” It will be conducted by Susan Wooldridge, a skilled and stimulating workshop presenter. It’s guaranteed to make you feel excited about language and self-expression in both poetry and prose.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, April 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the meeting room of the Plumas County Library at 445 Jackson Street in Quincy. The workshop is free but in order to attend, you must register in advance before Saturday, April 22.  You can register at the front desk of the Quincy library or call 530-283-6310.

This workshop is an exciting springboard for creativity for both experienced writers and those who are trying their hand at it for the first time. Attendees are asked to bring pens or pencils and some 8×11 “scratch” paper to give their creativity room to flower.

This event is sponsored by The Quincy Friends of the Library and Poets & Writers. The Quincy Friends of the Library will also be hosting a light lunch for workshop attendees and look forward to seeing you there.
