Fundraisers for Kara rescheduled
Two fundraisers for Quincy mother of four and elementary school teacher, Kara Torrence, had been postponed due to weather and are now rescheduled. Torrence is battling cancer and is unable to work during treatments. The rescheduled events with their dates and times are listed below:
Grab & Go Lunch at Quincy Provisions – Friday, March 3, 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. Lasagna, bread, & dessert for $15; $10 from every lunch goes to Kara and her family
Boogie & Breakfast at the QHS cafeteria – Saturday, March 18, at 8:30 a.m. Zumba followed by breakfast. Suggested $10 donation; all proceeds benefit Kara and her family
For those who can’t attend the fundraisers and would like to help Kara, an account has been established in her name at Plumas Bank in Quincy, as well as a gofundme account.
