GES and GHS celebrate the community
Greenville Elementary School and Junior/Senior High School principal Traci Cockerill expressed gratitude about recent examples of how her students are supported in the community.
The week before Thanksgiving, parents and community members came to school to make presentations and participate in a Native American Heritage assembly featuring many local Maidu talking about their history and the history of the area.
The first- and second-graders rehearsed and performed a reader’s theater rendition of The Stone Soup for Thanksgiving.
In the weekly newsletter, Cockerill thanked all involved for making small events like these possible for students at the two schools.
