Golf to benefit community hospital

Eastern Plumas Health Care is hosting a benefit golf tournament at Plumas Pines Golf Resort and Longboards, Saturday, Aug. 31.

The tournament will be a best ball scramble with check-in at 8 a.m., and a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. The cost to play is $125 per person, which includes a BBQ luncheon afterwards for players and drawing prizes.

To register, visit Plumas Pines Golf Resort or call Alanna Wilson, 832-6597, or [email protected]

The proceeds from the event will go to benefit EPHC. In recent years the proceeds raised at the annual golf tournament have been used to purchase a new state of the art ambulance, digital mammography and CT equipment, hydraulic gurneys, ambulance EKG equipment and more.

This year, EPHC is planning on expanding physical and rehabilitation therapy and will need equipment to facilitate this endeavor such as a gravity assisted treadmill and a SciFit upper and lower body ergometer.
