GMGA held their annual Jack & Jill couples’ tournament on July 10. The name of the game was “Chapman Scotch.” In this format each member of the two-person team hits their own tee shot and then they switch and hit from where their partner’s tee shot landed. The team then selects the better of the two results and the partner whose shot was not selected hits the next shot. They then play alternate shots until the ball is holed.

The winners of the Jack and Jill in Flight 1 were: First Place, a tie between the teams of Bill Harrison/Cynthia Baldwin and Kurt Colley/Jennifer Colley. Both teams had net scores of 60. The team of Mark Yuill/Beth Yuill, took third place with a net score of 65. In Flight 2, the team of Ron Eaton/Mikie Burdick won first place with a net score of 62. The team of David Macdonald/Catherine Macdonald earned second place with a net score of 64. The team of David Saltz/Shelly Saltz won third place with a net score of 67. An awards BBQ dinner took place at the Graeagle Picnic Grounds after the day of play on the course concluded.
