Graeagle Men’s Golf Association

The annual Jack & Jill Couples Golf Tournament was held July 9 at the Graeagle Meadows Golf Course.  There were 32 participants who, after playing golf, enjoyed a delicious barbeque chicken dinner at the Graeagle Picnic Grounds.  The format for the event was Chapman Scotch.  In this format each player tees off, and they then hit their second shot from where their partner’s ball came to rest. After each has hit the second shot, one of the balls is chosen, and the person who did not hit to that spot hits the next shot, and their team alternates each shot though the green.  In first place, with a net score of 64, was the team of Dottie and Ken Hattich.  Second place was the team of Kathy and Gene Carr, with a net score of 66.  Third place was the team of Ginger and Buck Houston, with a net score of 67.  Fourth place was the team of Beth and Mark Yuill with a net score of 68; and, in fifth place was the team of Alaine and Dennis Flynn, with a net score of 69.
