Folchi announced on her Facebook business page that starting at 6 p.m., the Outpost will be serving ice cream cones “until y’all stop coming.”
All proceeds will go to affected students at Plumas Unified School District (PUSD) that have lost their homes in the Dixie Fire.
“Individually we are just a drop. Together we are an ocean -or- a big beautiful pond!” Folchi said. “My crew will be there serving the best soft serve ice cream and passing a fire boot around for extra donations.”
The Portola Village Pharmacy has generously offered to match ice cream sales at the Graeagle Outpost, as well as Folchi Construction, while Scott Keogh is donating a table and his fine craftsman ship skills.
Carrie Bell will have pulled pork sandwiches and all the fixings for those who would like dinner at the pond.
“Bring a chair and your drinks, cop-a-squat, and enjoy Danny Horton playing his tunes on the porch!” Folchi added with a smile.
Local favorite Danny Horton will be playing live music through the evening of sweet treats and fundraising, with all proceeds he raises also to be donated to Dixie fire victims. “Come support and let’s give back to our community in need,” Horton invites.
Folchi reminds those that wish to attend that due to Covid, it is asked that all be considerate of each other’s’ space.
The Graeagle Outpost is located at 7358 Highway 89, near the Mill Pond and the Graeagle Store.
