Great Sierra River clean up

Small but mighty. The four-person, Sierra Institute-led Indian Valley Great Sierra River Clean Up team picked up 11 tires, two washing machines, two sofas, multiple sofa cushions, and 1,500 pounds worth of trash and debris from creek banks and local waterways Sept, 21. A reminder to residents: The Greenville Transfer Station at 3000 Greenville Dump Road is open Friday through Monday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and accepts most items found dumped in local rivers and creeks.
