UPDATE: The roadway is now reopened to through traffic.
The California Highway Patrol is reporting that Highway 70 is closed at the Greenville Wye due to a rockslide in the Canyon that is just above Rich Bar Road. More information will be shared when it becomes available.
Caltrans provided the following information: The highway is closed to through traffic between Jarbo Gap (west of Pulga) and the Greenville Wye (junction with State Route 89) due to a rock slide approximately 4 miles east of Belden. Caltrans and the contractor, JF Shea, are on scene removing debris and assessing the area. There is no current estimated time on when the roadway will reopen. Local traffic can still access from either side of the affected area.
