History Night tomorrow at Veteran’s Hall

The Chester-Lake Almanor Museum in conjunction with local historian Marilyn Quadrio is presenting the history of the arrival of the Benner and Pratt families in Big Meadows in the 1860s, resulting in the founding of the original town of Prattville and the birth of the tourist industry in Big Meadows tomorrow, Aug. 8.

The history presentation takes place in the Veterans Hall, 225 Gay St. in Chester, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. — “even if the power is out,” mentioned Quadrio since the Hall has a backup generator.
