History on display

Local historian and Chester-Lake Almanor Museum Director Marilyn Quadrio arranged an exhibit depicting Chester history through a series of historic photographs inside the Chester branch of Plumas Bank for public viewing. The exhibit will remain on display into the new year. The photos highlight significant events along with information on several pioneering families that helped shape the history of Big Meadows and the Lake Almanor Basin over the decades, from the 1890s through the mid-20th Century. Reprints of these photos, or any photos in the museum collection, are available for purchase. For more information on the fascinating history of Chester and the surrounding region, contact Marilyn Quadrio at 596-3011. Photo by Stacy Fisher
