It’s a snow day for county offices on Tuesday

County Administrative Officer Debra Lucero announced this afternoon, Feb. 27, that the Board of Supervisors has called Tuesday, Feb. 28, a snow day and county offices will be closed.

“It’s been a busy day today,” Lucero said. “Many thanks to our emergency personnel and a special shout-out to the snow plow teams. It’s been a non-stop day for them. What a great crew!”

Lucero noted that Caltrans and the CHP are discouraging travel. As a result, Plumas County schools are closed, and the court also will be closed. “We encourage employees to work from home if they’re able,” Lucero said.

The road crews, sheriff’s personnel and emergency workers will be on the job.
