It’s not a speed bump — it’s Speedy

Residents  along Clear Creek Road in Quincy know to drive slowly — there are a number of curves and the roadway is popular with walkers and bike riders. Several speed bumps also slow the flow of traffic. But this time of year, they know, that there is an extra speed bump to  watch out for — a large turtle who likes to make its way up the embankment from the meadow and onto the road. Maybe it just wants to be on the warm pavement for a while. Drivers often stop to move the turtle to a safer place fearing it will be run over. For that they are often sprayed on. At any rate, anyone who needs to drive on Clear Creek Road should be on the lookout for Speedy.
