Talk to anyone in downtown Greenville and they will undoubtedly mention the lack of places to eat. One well-loved favorite before last year’s lockdown was Jose’s Tacos. Pre-pandemic, they began making ADA compliant improvements to the building and reworking the kitchen. The new interior sports cream colored walls with revolutionary figures and veteran murals, and a woodstove is located in the corner instead of the middle of the room.

A couple of weeks ago the lights came back on and Greenville residents came rushing back. You could almost hear people cheering as the first burritos and tacos were taken to go.

The new hours for the popular restaurant are Wednesday through Monday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with breakfast burrito hours from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and closes early at 5 p.m. on Sundays. However it’s best to check the facebook page for both specials and for early closures due to the restaurant running out of food. Jose’s Tacos posts updates almost daily on its facebook page, where it was announced that the restaurant will be using locally sourced Indian Valley beef in its dishes.

Following COVID protocol the restaurant is offering to-go orders only currently. The restaurant is located at 301 Crescent Highway, right in the middle of downtown Greenville.
