Juniors stir up the dust in Taylorsville Rodeo

Taylorsville Arena is host to many rodeos during the summer months. Already this season fans have seen the Silver Buckle Rodeo Queen Horsemanship Contest, the Summer Series No.1, the big 4th of July Silver Buckle Rodeo and Parade, the Jackpot Team Roping event and the Junior Rodeo on July 26 and 27.

The 2019 Rodeo Queen, Emma Kingdon, put on a royal performance that earned her All Around Champion in the senior division.

Kamish Wagner of Red Bluff won the Girls’ All Around Saddle. Cowboy Hammons won the Boys’ All Around Saddle. Lacie Banchio won first place in the senior division Barrels competition. Jeht Neer won first place in Single Stake. Kenly Neer placed second in Barrels and Poles. Daisy Neer took third in Junior Goat Tying.

Piper Paterson rode in her first rodeo, ever. Young Lexi Andrews did very well at the Silver Buckle Rodeo pre-show and won first place in the Dummy Roping category. She did it again last weekend during the Taylorsville Junior Rodeo by adding another first place in Dummy Roping on top of a first place in Stick Barrels. This little wrangler is a real winner with a strong and determined rodeo heart.

The final two events for this years Taylorsville Rodeo season are the Summer Series No. 2 that took place this past weekend Aug. 4 and the yet to be scheduled Summer Series No. 3 in September.
