Lake Almanor group announces scholarships
The Lake Almanor area Chapter WH of P.E.O. is pleased to announce the recipients of the Patricia J. Dennison scholarships for the fall semester 2020:
- Felicity Syfrett, a junior at University of Nevada Reno, is majoring in Pre-Nursing.
- Miranda Lemons, a senior at Sacramento State University, is majoring in Business Administation.
- Julia Meinhardt, in her first year of graduate school at Harvard University, is pursuing a Master of Urban Planning degree.
- Chloe Monday, a sophomore at Houghton College in New York, is majoring in Psychology/Pre-Nursing.
- Elizabeth Bereznak, a junior at San Diego State University, is majoring in Psychology.
- Zoe Utterbach, a sophomore at Houghton College, is majoring in Elementary Education.
The Patricia J. Dennison Scholarship Fund was established in 2006 in memory of Patricia Dennison, a member of Chapter WH, who was an active supporter of education for women through scholarships. To date, Chapter WH has awarded a total of $37,950 in scholarships through this fund.
P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of a college, and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
