League of Women Voters plans 5 election forums

The League of Women Voters of Plumas County is planning to host five forums featuring the candidates in the June 7 Primary.

Lee Anne Schramel said that forums will be held in Quincy, Graeagle, Portola, Chester and Indian Valley. The dates and times will be shared later this week, but the first is scheduled for April 20 in Quincy.

In addition to the contested offices of assessor and sheriff, and District 3 and District 5 Supervisor, the other office holders are invited to make statements.

The forums will be in-person only (there won’t be a virtual component due to logistics) but Schramel is hopeful that the Quincy forum can be videotaped and shared online at Plumas News and other platforms.
