Leona Fay Williams

Leona Fay Williams lost her battle with an aggressive cancer on July 28, 2022, in Grangeville, Idaho, with all her children by her side. At the time of her death, she was living with her youngest daughter, as a result of the 2021 Dixie Fire destroying her home.

Leona was born September 29, 1960. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Daniel Williams, her parents Leo and Linda Vial. She is survived by her three children

Her daughter, Monica Corona & Freeman Merino and their 4 children, Nicholas, Zachary, Macie & Gracie.

Her daughter, Melinda & Rosendo Cervantes and their 4 children, Kylie, Jordan, Tagan & Donte.

Her son, Michael & Kira Corona and their children, Dean & Elijah.  Her brother Michel & Terri Vial their children Jeff, Matt & Anna.  She had many more nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, all will miss her dearly.

Leona spent her life dedicated to her family. She was a lifetime resident of Greenville, California, minus a couple of years living in Alturas with her late husband. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1977. Leona had many jobs throughout the years. She was employed at Indian Valley Hospital for many years until they closed the doors in 2006. She was named Indian Valley Hospital’s “Employee of the Year.” Leona was a special lady and loved by so many. She will be missed by many.

Her children will bring her back and lay her to rest in Greenville with her parents. There will be a service for her on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the Greenville Southern Baptist Church, Greenville, CA at 1:00 PM all are welcome to attend. A reception following the service will be provided for all in the Social Hall.
